Spanskymisten
Spanskymisten is Volvox & Alkymisten’s and Spanskrøret’s handballteam.
Spanskymisten Håndball was started in the autumn of 2015 as a collaboration with the line association Spanskrøret to offer handball to students in both line associations. The women's team and the men's team train together, but play matches separately. Unfortunately, there is no men's series this year (2022), so only the women's team plays matches. We hope this will change next season! We train in Nidelvhallen every Wednesday from 20:40 - 22:00, and have a match about once a week in the corporate series, where we play against other student and corporate teams. There is absolutely no requirement that you have played handball before - this is a low-threshold programme for anyone who wants to join!
In addition to training and playing matches, we have social gatherings. This gives the team a better cohesion and forms good friendships across the line associations! Sometimes we also organise other sports events, such as a dodgeball tournament for V&A and the Spanish pipe.
